What Happened to 495 Victor Street?

I was looking at real estate in Winnipeg, Manitoba, online. I found this old house, not on the real estate site but across the street from another house (which was far less interesting, or cute). What is the story of this little green and white house? It isn't like the others on the street. Maybe someone built it for themselves, their family. I don't think anyone has lived in it for awhile. The photographs taken by Google were from July, 2015. So, the house may be gone now. It doesn't look like an area where things are progressing or growing. Kind of a sad street with houses in need of some care. The little green and white house looks very sad, abandoned and will end up demolished by someone, eventually. Here are some photos as a memorial to the little house with an unknown story.

In older images you can see it once had a white fence around the front, by 2009 that was gone. At some point a wooden gate was left at the side of the house but it was never attached (as far as I can see). By 2014 that's gone. By 2014 it is very boarded up and forgotten looking.
